My name is Kelisha. I’m not just your average mommy. I’ve had many difficult times in my life but what doesn’t kill you makes you stronger. Right? I had a beautiful 3 year old son named Will who was killed in a car accident in July 2005. I miss him more and more each day. He was the light of my life and I will never forget him. After Will died, I married my husband Matthew. I had known him for a long time and he was my rock through the most difficult time in my life. We were married on Decemeber 30, 20005. He always makes me laugh and he takes care of me. In November 2006, I gave birth to a true gift from God, our daughter Annelise. I prayed for another child after Will died because I just wanted to feel like a mommy again. Soon, God blessed us with her. She is gorgeous and fills my days with joy. I used to want to have a high-powered career and also have a family, but after Will’s accident, I realized just how precious life is. I realized that I was truly happy being just a mother so that’s what I am doing. Being a wife and mother is so important to me, I will never take one single breath for granted. One thing I’ve learned through all of this is to make many memories and cherish every moment of life! I love deeply and care strongly. I don’t say much but when I do, it means a lot. My family means the world to me. Little things mean the most to me. Life is too precious to waste even just one moment because moments turn into memories and someday, memories may be all you have left.
